Community Project 2008
This year we decided to help Spring Brook Nature Center in Itasca again and we spent the day removing garlic-mustard plants.
About Spring Brook Nature Center
Since opening its doors in 1980, Spring Brook
Nature Center has been a vibrant natural resource for education
and conservation in suburban Chicago in the heart of the Village
of Itasca, Illinois. They have 2 miles of hiking trails through
a shady woodland, fragrant prairie, a lush cattail marsh,
and a visitor's center where children of all ages will delight
in the discovery room's crafts and games. They also exhibit
birds of prey in the year-round raptor aviary.
